Background
Adit North was one of 9 bodies formed by the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) in 2004 to address the UK Government broadband objectives which were:
- maximise broadband deployment
- maximise value for money in broadband procurement
- offer consultancy services to Public Sector (including service vs demand mapping)
Today, Adit North is an extended enterprise company owned by One North East (RDA), and are dedicated public sector specialists.
The Adit North team boast a wealth of technical knowledge and operational expertise and can provide unrivalled practical advice and support on next generation broadband and ICT investment with procurement, which is not normally found within a typical public sector organisations.
Whilst the core business originated as broadband procurement, Adit North has now evolved into a respected Solutions Procurement and Project Management Consultancy with success especially in Regeneration Projects such as the Gateshead Baltic Business Quarter Infrastructure Project. Adit North will increasingly develop its business in Consultancy Services-especially in the areas of Regeneration, New Media and Education
